About this Event

Independent fashion designers and retailers Bruce Slorach and Sara Thorn operated the Galaxy Emporium from 1986 until 1992, an outlet for independent fashion, and created the Abyss, Funkessentials and Konka labels. They concentrated on the youth market, in particular, in their fashion business. The collection comprises 37 boxes of material with an estimated 1,000 items including fabric swatches, magazines, photographs, merchandising materials, garments, artwork and other ephemera.
