Creating Canopies at South Creek - PCC
Date and time
Help plant a riparian corridor!
About this event
Join Greater Sydney Landcare Network and Landcare NSW for a day of tree planting at South Creek, St Mary's! We are repairing a riparian corridor for habitat, stabilise the bank and to provide a restorative environment for locals.
The planting patch is along the bank of South Creek, which provides an important wildlife corridor for small birds, microbats, and other native animals to travel through the landscape.
Green spaces aren't just great for urban ecosystems, they're also associated with better physical, lower stress levels, and greater community satisfaction. Now's your chance to get involved with repairing this space in your neighbourhood.
On-site training, tools, and refreshments will be provided.
Please wear long sleeves, long pants, closed sturdy shoes and a hat / sunscreen, and bring at least 2 litres of drinking water. Also, please bring your own gardening gloves for COVID-19 safety considerations.
