About this event

About this event.

Join Greater Sydney Landcare's Creating Canopies team and help plant trees and shrubs around this Lidcombe asset to help encourage the many birds that call this place home.

We'll enjoy a great morning tea and lunch while doing some great work. You may also have an opportunity to show your skills with a seven iron.

Green spaces aren't just great for urban ecosystems, they're also associated with better physical health, lower stress levels, and greater community satisfaction. Carnarvon Golf course is part of the Parramatta River catchment and the work we do on August 19 is going to benefit this mighty river.

Please wear long sleeves, long pants, closed sturdy shoes and a hat and sunscreen, and bring your own drink bottle.

On-site training, tools, and refreshments will be provided. The area has been prepared for planting and is suitable for families.

RSVPs are essential to help us with catering. Please email us or cancel your ticket if you can no longer attend. There is ample street parking available nearby.

For insurance purposes you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian if you are under 16 years of age.
