Event description
Discover how rewarding it can be to create a bird-friendly garden.

About this Event

When birds visit our gardens, we have a window into the secret lives of these amazing creatures. Birds can bring a song to our hearts, and being able to watch birds as they go about their everyday business allows us to connect with nature, leaving us feeling more grounded and less stressed. Encouraging native birds to visit our gardens is rewarding, and easy! Bird-friendly gardens also allow us to create waterwise, low maintenance, low cost gardens using some of our beautiful native plants.  Join Dr Tegan Douglas from BirdLife Australia to pick up some tips and tricks for how you can make your backyard - or frontyard or courtyard or balcony! - more bird-friendly. Learn who is likely to visit your garden, and what they get up to while they are there.

We will be in Activity Room 3/4 in Heathridge Community Centre. Hot beverages and light refreshments will be provided. There will also be some lovely native plant seedlings looking for some bird-loving homes.

Supported by Lotterywest.
