Description

Are you a parent of a child with Autism? Did you know that there are many ways you can organise and adapt your home that helps with both sensory issues, and executive function. This inaugural event in Perth, Western Australia by Shelly Dival, an award winning building designer, is the result of global research. This limited number workshop is free to attend, and is aimed at providing you with knowledge that can easily be implemented into your home. There will also be a Q & A session to recieve individual questions and feedback. Conversations and feedback from this workshop will contribute to ongoing research and inform delivery methods for other events.

Please note, tea and coffee and light refreshments will be available.

I strongly urge parents to make childminding arrangements, though if this is not possible the venue is child friendly and children are welcome though must be supervised at all times.

Organised by

Shelly Dival, from Enabling Spaces, provides consulting, education and training to families and businesses on building and adapting homes and workplaces to be Autism friendly. Shelly is a building designer of over 20 years experience and when her grandson was diagnosed with Autism, her professional and personal lifes were meshed together as she researched how our built environment affects those living with Autism. This resulted in being awarded a Churchill Fellowship, and in 2018 completed a global research trip talking to world leaders and experts to further her research and knowledge.
