Simon Henry is one of the most successful foreign startup founders in China and co-founder of UWAI.com - a simple tool to help local businesses reach the world's largest and most affluent tourist market, that of outbound Chinese.

Prior to Uwai.com, Simon and his co-founder Andrew, successfully grew and exited Juwai.com - a platform enabling Chinese to buy properties abroad.

They were instrumental in growing this new market from USD$4.5 billion to over USD$52 billion in 6 years and are up there with Alibaba in pioneering cross-border trade between China and the rest of the world. These days, Juwai.com is a household name in China for anyone interested in property investing abroad.

To name just a few achievements Simon and Andrew achieved in a short 6 year period of time:

Melissa Ran is the Startup China Program Manager at UNSW in charge of running Australia-China entrepreneurship collaboration initiatives and services for UNSW alumni, student and staff startup founders.

Melissa is a twice recipient of the prestigious Australia-China Council grant, accompanied PM Malcolm Turnbull in Australia's largest ever trade tour to China, and previously founded a software business that was named one of Australia's top 50 most innovative products.

Prior to joining the startup sector, Melissa worked in sales and marketing at the world's largest FMCG company, Procter & Gamble
