Description

Attend a practical training session to help you assist patients to access the NDIS. These sessions have been developed in partnership with Central Eastern Sydney PHN.

GPs will be allocated four category 2 points in RACGP QI&CPD Program for the 2017-2019 triennium.

Please note: Arrival time is 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. Refreshments will be served from 6.30pm.

This session will cover:

  • NDIS eligibility
  • Understanding and writing functional impact assessments
  • Completing the Access Request Form
  • Lots of opportunity to practise your skills

CPD learning outcomes:

  1. Increased understanding of the role of medical professionals in assisting patients to access the NDIS
  2. Increased understanding of functional impact of assessment
  3. Guided practice writing functional impact assessments
  4. Safety-based and patient-centred approach regarding the NDIS
