Description

CPD Lunchtime Seminar: Preparing for Trial – Getting the most out of your barrister, getting the most out of your solicitor.

In this joint Court initiative of the Supreme and County Courts of Victoria, Justice Rita Zammit, the Judge in Charge of the Supreme Court’s Personal Injuries and Dust Diseases Lists, and Judge O’Neill, the Judge in charge of the Common Law Division, will chair a panel of speakers to discuss court craft and pre-trial preparation.

The panel will provide tips on briefing counsel, conferencing with witnesses, and pre-trial document preparation in the context of personal injury matters. Speakers include Jeremy Ruskin QC and leading medical negligence lawyer, Lara Larking.

General court etiquette and conduct will also be addressed.

Who Should Attend?

The seminar is primarily aimed at newer members of the profession. More experienced practitioners wishing to update their knowledge are also encouraged to attend.
