The Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland (BPEQ) is hosting a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course focused on Risk Management (ISO 31000 – Risk Management Introduction). We have partnered with George Assaad from British Standards Institution (BSI) to offer this great opportunity for training and development to RPEQs in regional Queensland.

ISO 31000 – Risk Management Introduction
Program Description:
The objective of this Standard is to provide guidance to enable public, private or community enterprises, groups and individuals to achieve:
- A more confident and rigorous basis for decision-making and planning
- Better identification of opportunities and threats
- Gaining value from uncertainty and variability
- Pro-active rather than re-active management
- More effective allocation and use of resources
- Improved incident management and reduction in loss and the cost of risk, including commercial insurance premiums
- Improved stakeholder confidence and trust
- Improved compliance with relevant legislation
- Better corporate governance
Presenter:
George has extensive experience in developing, implementing and maintaining management systems for clients across a range of industries.
George’s background in Engineering provided him with systematic thinking which is an important attribute for auditors and consultants. George is also very passionate about training and has years of experience as a facilitator.
George is a member of the Safety Institute of Australia and is currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma of OHS. George’s previous employers include Anitech Consulting, Pristine Services, The University of Melbourne and CSIRO.
