Live presentation and Interactive Q&A

About this event

**Limited tickets remaining - Parents Only **

What does it take to raise a daughter with heathy self-confidence, self-worth and motivation in today's complex world?

"The presentation was humorous and real and provided strategies for parents on how to keep the communication lines open so that our young people can work towards being the positive and confident young people we hope them to be. "

- Principal Samantha Jensen - Mt Alvernia College

ABOUT THE EVENT

Join youth expert Tanya Meessmann and neuroscientist and adolescent counsellor Dr Diane Harner for an evening of deep insights and explanations to support both your daughter's confidence development, and your own as your raise her.

During the evening's interactive discussion we will be covering important topics including:

  • What it means to be a 'Courageous Parent' and why this is critical for your daughter's confidence development in the 21st Century
  • An insight into the teenage brain to better understand and recognise what is considered 'normal' behaviour (and why)
  • Tools and strategies to build your daughter's confidence and resilience
  • A deeper understanding of how you, as her parent, can best support your daughter through these (often tumultuous!) teenage years.
  • Hot topics such as defiance and disrespect, boundaries and consequences, emotional regulation and much, much more!

Tanya and Di will also make themselves available for a Q&A at the conclusion of the evening to dive deeper into key topics affecting parents today.

WHO'S IT FOR?

Whether you're already starting to see your daughter's confidence dropping, feeling fractures beginning between your relationship with her, or just want to be prepared with useful information and strategies for when the bumpy bits come, you don't want to miss this.

Parents raising daughters between the ages of 8-18 will come away with critical insights into their daughter's behaviour, brains and beliefs.

Please note: the content discussed in this evening is best suited for parents only.
