Courageous Convesations. How to have a difficult chat.

Whether it be a difficult conversation with a member of your team, your manager, a volunteer or your neighbour – these types of conversations are never easy. As a leader, volunteer manager or person dealing with people day to day (and we all do), conversations like these, need to happen to ensure that your clients are receiving the best possible service and support.

Michael Stoddart will lead this half day workshop on the “Courageous Conversation”. There is no difficult conversation he has not had and will be sharing his personal stories and approach to ensuring you get the best out of people. The workshop is a mix of practical examples and easy to follow steps and models, to ensure you are confident having that next “Courageous Conversation”.

Bring with you the most difficult conversation you need to have and Michael will work with you and the class, to break it down to an easy to follow approach that will result in improved performance and an outcome that will benefit you both. Michael is a current volunteer with Lifeline, has been part of the Night Patrol team feeding Sydney’s homeless with Vinnies and various other volunteer roles focused on mental health and resilience.

Remember when your mum told you.

‘If you don’t have something nice to say ……don’t say anything at all.’

Well, we need to challenge that a bit, because sometimes being honest, but respectful is the best possible approach.

About our Presenter, Michael Stoddart

Michael Stoddart Michael Stoddart is a dynamic presenter and public speaker, trainer and coach dedicating his business Aumento, to the care and wellbeing of those who care for others.  Michael set up the business to focus on an area of the insurance, rehabilitation and not for profit sector he feels has been sadly overlooked for too long – the people who care for people when they are at their most challenged.  Our case workers, injury management advisors, claim officers, team leaders and rehabilitation professionals have a tough job and we all need to make sure that they are ok, so they can provide the service and client engagement that is required to get people back to life and then back to work.
