Courage on the home front: Queensland women during the war (Years 7–10)
Overview
Presented in partnership with Queensland Museum
Join State Library of Queensland and Queensland Museum professional staff for this special workshop exploring the extraordinary contributions of Queensland women during times of war.
Through letters, photographs, artefacts, and records, explore how Queensland women supported the war effort, reshaped their communities, and inspired generations through their courage and resilience.
By analysing these primary sources, students will deepen their understanding of the war’s impact, develop key historical inquiry skills, and make authentic connections between Queensland’s wartime experiences and their own learning.
Workshop notes:
- This session is delivered via Microsoft Teams.
- This session is a multi-school event, open to all schools for registration.
- Bookings for this workshop close 30 minutes before the event.
