Councils and Emergencies Directions Paper Information Session - Ararat

This information session is for council officers and emergency management personnel who wish to discuss the content of the directions paper further with Local Government Victoria staff or require clarification or assistance whilst preparing their submission.
As part of the Councils and Emergencies project, on 10 January 2017 LGV released a directions paper. The directions paper describes councils' current emergency management responsibilities and actions, based on their legislative requirements. It reflects extensive consultation with councils officers, emergency management agencies and emergency management experts.
The directions paper has been released for a period of four months to obtain formal submissions from councils, state government and emergency management agencies.
The deadline for making a submission is 8 May 2017.
