'Discovering Resilience'

Wednesday 2 September

6.30pm to 7.45pm

Martin Heppell from The Resilience Project will share his experiences and combine them with practical strategies that can be used every day to improve our overall wellbeing.

Strategies will be based on The Resilience Project's key themes:

  • Gratitude - appreciating what you have, not begrudging what you don't
  • Empathy - thinking of the needs of others and showing kindness
  • Mindfulness - being present in the moment, not becoming distracted by unhelpful, negative thoughts

About our presenter

The Resilience Project provides practical, evidence-based, positive mental health strategies to help build resilience and happiness. They work with the school community including teachers, students and parents to help them understand the importance of building resilience strategies. For details, please visit their website
