Event description

Description

The Digital Thumbprint parent seminar has been designed to help parents get a better understanding of the challenges that young people face online. It follows on from the classroom sessions that have been run with students at school by the presenter Dom Phelan. The following topics will be covered and will enable parents to have a structured conversation with their children around these issues:

  • Digital privacy and security/password security and why it’s important

  • Sexualisation of content and behaviour

  • The types and effects of cyberbullying

  • How to create a positive online presence

  • Using technology to improve study habits
