Event description
Take some time out for you and express yourself with Art Journaling.

About this Event

Feel welcome to come back and join us - write, share stories, create with fellow community members.

In this cycle of workshops, as a group you will be guided through a series of reflective art journaling practices and engage in the benefits of writing for well being.

This workshop is only on offer to those who have already participated in one of Rosie's Art Journaling sessions as Fabrik in 2020. Please bring along the journal you have been using up until now - no need to bring anything else along. Expert tuition, all materials and refreshments provided.

This workshop program is offered over a 4 week cycle for the month of June - it is expected that the cycle will run with a fixed group of participants to allow for a shared experience. Please note that by booking in you are committing to a place in all four sessions*.

(*Of course we understand if you can't make it on one date - we'll absolutely save your space. We just wont be opening up your space to any new group members).

This workshop is FREE for local community members .

About your workshop facilitator - Rosie Rowlands:

Rosie Rowland trained as a paediatric and general nurse in Scotland before emigrating to Australia, where she worked at the women’s and children’s hospital in Adelaide. Rosie completed a post graduate diploma in health counselling at the University of South Australia and then joined Anglicare in 2001 as a Family Support Practitioner.Rosie worked with the Supporting Families team until June 2019 when she retired to spend more time at her home in the Adelaide hills.During her time at Anglicare in addition to her counselling work, she set up and ran creative writing groups for women. These groups were so successful that in partnership with Country Health SA and the University of South Australia, she won a grant to create and publish a book of the women’s writings to be used as a therapeutic tool.Rosie continues to be passionate about art journaling and the therapeutic affects of creative writing.
