Event description
This workshop introduces cooperative learning as an inclusive pedagogy that can strengthen and support peer relationships.

About this Event

Cooperative learning (Johnson & Johnson 1994) is a highly structured, constructivist approach to learning where students work in heterogenous groups to achieve meaningful educational or social goals. • Heterogeneous grouping to facilitate inclusion
  • How to support and strengthen peer relationships
  • How to embed explicit instruction (pre-teaching, modelling, routines, visuals and the use of graphic organisers) into cooperative learning lessons
  • Differentiation for all ability groups in the one lesson
