Description

What does the future public library look like? Only you can tell us!

State Library of Queensland, in collaboration with the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ), and the Queensland Public Library Association (QPLA), has commissioned a review of The Next Horizon: VISION 2017 for Queensland public libraries. Consultation for the review is being undertaken by researchers at the University of Southern Queensland’s Digital Life Lab.

As part of the review of the vision for Queensland public libraries, workshops are taking place across the Sunshine State.

We're looking for all public library staff to join playful, creative, provocative sessions hosted by Dr Kate Davis from the Digital Life Lab, to help us understand the impact of the current vision for Queensland public libraries, as well as help us understand what the public libraries of the future can, might, and should look like.

We're looking for participation by a diversity of staff from Queensland public library services - from front line service staff to senior management - and we are also keen for Councilors and CEOs to join in too. We need your input to help us review and evaluate the effectiveness of VISION 2017 and develop a highly relevant and effective renewed vision.
