Event description

Description

Two years ago, QUT Library joined with libraries across Australia in ’cooking for copyright‘- a campaign conducted by FAIR (Freedom of Access to Information and Resources) on behalf of ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association). The campaign was organised to raise awareness of confusing copyright law and the need to the make the terms of copyright for published and unpublished materials the same under Australian copyright law.

Professor Matthew Rimmer, Intellectual Property and Innovation Law School will speak on how reform further is needed to Australian copyright law to achieve the balance required for creators and users of copyright materials to participate in knowledge creation.

There will also be delicious treats made from vintage, unpublished recipes!
