Description

Join this Conversation Club Experts Insight event on career advancement with Georgette Nicholas, CEO and Managing Director of Genworth Australia and Anna Green, Managing Director and Partner, Boston Consulting Group. They will generously share their knowledge on how you can plan today to increase your chances of a successful career transition into senior management. And, equally importantly, what to look for an employer and how you should communicate with them to extend your opportunities for advancement and career flexibility.

Only five percent of ASX 200 companies have women as CEOs. Georgette Nicholas, as CEO of Genworth Australia, sets a target of 40 percent female management participation and currently exceeds this target with women making up 43 percent of her management team. Georgette will discuss her strategies for the continued involvement of women in all levels of management at Genworth. Anna Green, of Boston Consulting Group, has extensively researched where Australian corporations are investing their gender empowerment dollars and also what is needed, from a personal and corporate level, to how to even up the balance, bit by bit, by empowering women like you.

This event is targeted at executive women and emerging leaders who are looking for inspiration, strategies based on experience, and precise advice on how to excel in their careers, including how to identify a supportive employer and the importance of building goodwill.

It's the Conversation Club's goal to enable you to be part of the conversation towards gender balance and empowerment, for the benefit of all. Be a part of it.

About the Conversation Club

The Conversation Club was founded in 2015 because of the lack of accessible, reliable and practical coverage on issues of relevance for women with professional careers and multifaceted, fulfilled lives. Experts were invited to share their knowledge in an engaging and accessible format on topics which struck a chord with many – from personal wealth management to youth mental health, from career development to building the perfect capsule wardrobe.

Conversation Club is about enriching key areas of our lives. That’s a big call. Some events have ideas that will challenge you and open up a debate. Some events are more light-hearted. And at each event, you will meet great people like you, interested in engaging in the conversation and being part of a clever community.

Having access to authentic, trustworthy information is the basis for any sound decision to allow us to move forward in the right direction. We ensure our information is resilient and we aim to become your trusted resource for the decisions you make for your own life for the lives of those you care about. And no matter what the topic, serious or fun, we get to the heart of the matter.

Our speakers will inspire us and show us how we can reach new personal heights, to feel more engaged, to do more, and to be more.
