Online Continuing Education Program for Early Career Speech Pathologists

About this event

Congratulations! Perhaps you have recently graduated from university, you are an early career therapist looking for a new job or have already started working. Wherever you may be, you are in the right place to engage in our online program. At Dee Wardrop Speech Pathology we have a strong focus on intensive supervision of early career therapists and understand it is vital throughout your professional life to be well supported and even more so in your first 1-3 years of work.

The Continuing Education Program for Early Career Speech Pathologists is designed and led by senior clinicians who have been working in the field for several years and in many cases, bringing decades of experience.

Whether you are based in metropolitan, rural or remote areas you will have access to regular evening sessions covering various clinical topics, including case studies and in-depth discussions. No matter how little or large your clinical questions are, they will be answered. In the process you will be given practical strategies to apply in speech pathology assessment and therapy sessions whilst enriching your knowledge-base and areas of clinical interest.

With the intention for you to tailor your own learning, you may choose to access one, some or all modules most relevant to you throughout 2021. Each module contains 4 sessions held on Thursday evenings.

MODULE 1: Toddlers (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th March)

MODULE 2: Preschoolers (6th, 13th, 20th, 27th May)

MODULE 3: Early Primary School (1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd July)

MODULE 4: Upper Primary School (2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd September)

MODULE 5: Teens (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th November)

We look forward to you joining our fun and engaging online community whilst you also have the added bonus of potentially creating professional networks across the nation. Here are a few more things you may want to know:

• Each session is 60 minutes duration: 6:30-7:30pm AEST.

• You are welcome to relax into the session from the comfort of your home with a snack and glass of wine or cup of tea.

• Sessions have limited places, allowing time for your questions to be answered.

• Register for all 5 modules with a discounted fee or each module separately. Given the design of the program there is not an option to register for individual sessions.

• At the completion of each module you will be emailed a certificate of attendance.

• View the dates and book your attendance via Eventbrite and you will receive a confirmation email.

• This a safe and confidential community - agreements for your participation will be emailed to you upon your registration of which you will need to sign and return before online access is permitted. Your zoom link will be for your access only.
