Involving Consumers in your Research: Master Class

This workshop is a 2 hour face to face session offered on 18 October at either
TRI 10am – 12noon, OR
UQCCR, Herston 2pm – 4pm
Please note:
Session 1 is a pre-requisite for Session 2
Session 2 is a hands-on workshop and places are limited
Session 2 is offered at either TRI or UQCCR
This workshop is for those interested in gaining hands on skills in engaging consumers in their research projects. It builds on the learning from Session 1: Foundation Webinar (a prerequisite for this session), and will allow you to apply the skills you have learned to your own research ideas.
The Foundation Webinar (Thursday 14 October 2021) is a pre-requisite for this session. You can register for the Foundation Webinar here.
Spaces are limited for this hands on master class, so if you cannot attend please advise the organisers as soon as possible.

- Troubleshooting and Q&As, specific to your research
What will the training cover?
Partnering with health consumers on your research increases the impact you will have on people’s lives and the health system as a whole. Increasingly, research funders are looking for research projects that demonstrate a real and authentic collaboration with health consumers. Register to learn how to involve health consumers in your research. Learn skills and strategies that you can use to create supportive and productive partnerships to take your research to the next level. Work with consumers not just as participants of your research but as partners in your research project.

Eligibility requirements:
- This hands on workshop has limited capacity so is open to staff from BDHP partner organisations only.
- You must complete Session 1: Foundation Webinar to be able to participate in Session 2: Hands on Workshop.
