You are invited to join the Pro-Vice Chancellor Education Professor Peter Dean to discuss the changes proposed by the Review of Assessment Methods Working Party to the University Policy on Assessment and provide your feedback.

In accordance with its terms of reference the Working Party has been conducting an exploration of the legislative requirements for criterion referenced assessment and the current practice at UWA before recommending adjustments to University Policy to ensure consistency and compliance with legislative requirements.

Please join the Convenor of the Working Party Professor Peter Dean to discuss the proposed changes and provide your feedback on those and the following key areas:

  • The maximum weighting permitted for exams
  • The assessment of creative outputs
  • The penalty for late submission of assessment items
  • The use of fail components
  • The timing of the publication of Unit Outlines


All interested teaching and professional staff are invited to attend one of the following meetings:
