Event description

Description

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) is consulting nationally to better understand the safety and quality issues experienced by patients in primary health care.

PLEASE NOTE the Standards are not applicable to general practices and services operating as part of the hospital network or local health network. Both services already have Standards in plac (RACGP and NSQHS).

These Standards are aimed at private allied health providers.

The information gathered at these consultative workshops will be used to develop the National Primary Health Care Safety and Quality Standards.

Your involvement in these workshops is essential to developing standards that are of value to the sector, focus on safety and quality outcomes and are patient-centred.

The workshop

Workshops will ask participants to discuss the safety and quality issues for patients in primary health care, and what needs to be in place to provide safe and high quality care.

The workshop will run for 2 hrs with light catering provided.

Who should attend?

Anyone involved in the delivery of primary health care services including, but not limited to primary health care providers, practice managers, policy makers and relevant health service organisations.
