Event description

Description

Celebrate National Science Week with Women in STEMM Australia in Brisbane this year!! We are hosting an exciting event: Connecting Women in STEMM in the Sunshine State on Monday, August 14, 2017. Our guest speaker, Queensland Chief Scientist Professor Suzanne Miller, has welcomed us to the Queensland Museum and Sciencentre in Brisbane.

Renowned ABC journalist Bernie Hobbs will lead a fascinating discussion with our outstanding panellists about the key decision-making times in the lives of girls and women interested in STEMM, what influences their choices, and how to foster a much-needed culture shift to ensure more girls pursue STEMM education and careers, and that more women in STEMM reach senior-level roles.

Gain valuable insight into how you can better support girls and women in STEMM, accelerate their education and careers, and foster an environment where more women in STEMM can lead and excel!
