Event description

NVC Foundation Training with Shari - Connect with Heart

A weekend of empathy and connection that might save your relationship.

IMAGINE if you could say how you really feel to the people you care about...

IMAGINE being able to be vulnerable and trust that others could hear what was really important for you...

IMAGINE if your inner critic took a break and actually became a supportive friend...

Welcome to Connect with Heart!

What is Connect with Heart about?

Connect with Heart is an incredible weekend training designed to support you in learning the skills to powerfully connect with anyone authentically and with compassion.

It's learning the REAL HUMAN skills and EMOTIONAL LITERACY to powerfully navigate your relationships and to break unhelpful patterns you might have with others and with yourself.

What is NVC?

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a series of communication tools developed by Marshall Rosenberg back in the 1970's. The time proven process of Nonviolent Communications (named from alignment with Gandhi and Martin Luther King) is a world famous methodology to:

  • Create exceptional personal and professional relationships
  • Ask for compassionate understanding for ourselves
  • Hear behind the way something is being said to hear what is really meant
  • Prevent and resolve misunderstandings and conflict
  • Speak authentically, in a way that leads to harmony
  • Create willingness without coercion

Since then its influence has grown internationally and is now used as a major tool in relationship counseling, mediation, conflict resolution and innovative education. At its heart, NVC is a RADICAL TRANSFORMATION OF CONSCIOUSNESS that lifts us out of the patterns of blame, judgement, shaming and the stories that perpetuate these experiences that are based on ideas of right and wrong.

Why Is It So Important To Learn Something Like NVC?

NVC allows us to bring attention to our real feelings and needs and set aside the story. It has us get real and get really present with what matters and how we are creating that in our lives. It allows us to master our own power and your capacity to interact with life in a way that makes things more wonderful for yourself and for those that you care about.

What we say IS powerful. Our words, and how we hear others, affect the level of trust and conflict we experience in each of our relationships.

By learning NVC we bring power, choice, compassion and love to every interaction - whether at work or at home.

The KEY BENEFITS that participants have experienced are ...

  • Confidence in asking for what you really want
  • Richer, more authentic relationships
  • The ability to say ‘no’ with ease - no matter who is asking you!
  • The ability to not take on board other people’s judgements personally
  • Being able to quieten the sometimes overactive mind chatter!
  • A greater sense of ease with emotions - both your own and others
  • Becoming equipped with the tools to raise your children into wonderful humans
  • And a whole lot more...

The 4 simple steps within NVC help you let go of habits of blame, criticism, submission, aggression and “fixed thinking” which make it difficult to connect with those we care about.

You really can build happy and powerful relationships.

It almost sounds too good to be true!
That’s because NVC is an invaluable life skill that enriches the authenticity of every relationship in your life - especially with yourself. It is a tried and tested method of shifting from habits of judgement, blame and criticism (of yourself and others), to get clear resolution and a forward direction.

  • It will be a weekend of learning about ourselves, our emotions and the ways we react to others
  • It will be a weekend of connection of experiencing what's important and speaking up for what we need
  • It will be a space for sharing and honoring the ways we may have not been in alignment and out of integrity in our past
  • It will be a weekend of trying new ways of having old conversations to create truly transformational results
  • It's a weekend of love, empathy, emotion, and growth as we find better ways to say what we want, speak out for our needs and really truly hear others

We hope to see you there!
