Are you preparing your research proposal...or...have collected survey data and still validating what type of statistical analysis to use? In this workshop to be facilitated by Prof. Rocky T. Marcelino (Faculty, Institute of Statistics, University of the Philippines Los Banos), he will discuss effective ways to design survey research including the use of appropriate statistical tools for analysis.

Detailed description below -

The social sciences and human ecological studies offer diversified research methodology. Among the most common methodologies is the conduct of survey. With the prevailing notion of evidence-based claim not only in the natural sciences but also in the social sciences, survey as a data collection method is a crucial process. This session discusses the most common malpractices and good practices in survey methodology. Issues in the areas of survey methodology such as survey instrument reliability analysis, survey sampling design, sample size determination, and sample selection will be discussed. Practical and updated approaches to addressing the issues posed will be presented and will be implemented with the aid of the R software.
