About this Event

Learn how to make quality compost that will feed your soil to grow healthy food .

Quality compost feeds the soil biology, that feeds the plants that feed you! Magical science!

Learn how to make compost with your food, garden and farm wastes. Compost is a wonderful soil amendment that feeds the soil microbes, that in turn make nutrients available to plants.

At least 50% of landfill in Australia is food waste, which when buried produces methane that contributes to global warming. Let's learn how to better manage our waste.

Bring along gloves if you'd like and lots of questions.

Celia Leverton from Whistlers Ridge Permaculture and the Regenerative Agriculture Network of Tasmania will share her many years of making compost at home garden, market garden and farm scales.
