Event description

Description

Find out how easy it is to successfully transform household wastes into quality compost, a valuable plant food that improves all aspects of soil health.

This workshop explains the main principals of composting and provides you with the necessary skills to design, build, maintain, troubleshoot and use compost.

This 3 hour workshop is suitable for all, from beginners to accomplished composters.

At the completion of the workshop, you will be given a validated "Compost Coupon" which entitles your household to receive, at no charge, one compost bin set. A compost bin set consists of one small kitchen scraps/tidy bin for collecting scraps as well as one compost bin.

You will need to take your validated "Compost Coupon" to either West Nowra, Huskisson or Ulladulla Recycling and Waste Depot to collect your compost bin set.

PLEASE NOTE: Bookings are essential for all attendees. Only one compost bin set per household.

This workshop is offered by Shoalhaven City Council Waste Services under its Home Sustainability program.

If you have any questions regarding your booking please call Council Waste Services on (02) 4429 3129 prior to the day of the workshop.
