Come along and learn how to set up your own compost bin or worm farm and:

  • reduce your rubbish output by up to 50%

  • reduce water consumption in the garden by up to 30%

  • nourish your plants

  • save money!

Compost is great for a healthy garden and is a valuable organic resource that helps us reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill.

Who: This workshop is suitable for adults who live in the City of Ryde local government area.

Equipment: Please bring your own note pad and pen to take notes. To reduce our environmental impact, please bring your own cup to enjoy morning tea.

Clothing and Footwear: Please ensure you wear enclosed flat shoes (no sandals, thongs or high heels please) and long trousers covering your legs to your ankles. Bring or apply sunscreen & hat for your own skin protection.

Cost: FREE. This is provided as no cost by the City of Ryde.

Booking: Advanced bookings essential. Book early as places are strictly limited and we anticipate this session will reach full capacity.
