The Australian Museum Foundation is hosting a complimentary CPD Seminar on the subject of wills and bequests.
Aimed at solicitors and financial advisors, the focus of the Seminar is on aspects of philanthropic and testamentary giving.
Attendees will hear from leading legal and financial advisory experts in the area of philanthropy:
- Louise Walsh, CEO, Future Generation Companies
- Anne Robinson AM, Founder and Principal, Prolegis Lawyers
- in addition to a discussion panel facilitated by Simone Whetton, Partner, Colin Biggers & Paisley Lawyers, including lawyer Shauna Jarrett.
Speakers will also include:
- Brian Hartzer, Chair, Australian Museum Foundation
- Prof Kris Helgen, Director & Chief Scientist, Australian Museum Research Institute
Topics raised:
- Trustee obligations and taxation law on gifts, wills and bequests
- The Supreme Court ruling on the bushfire fundraising campaign
- Examples of the power of leaving a legacy to the Australian Museum, and
- Research findings on the impact of the bushfires to our unique biodiversity and threatened species.
