“Becoming an advocate has been life changing for me! I have always had a heart for the poor but never knew what to do about it. It all seemed too overwhelming so I would just bury my head under the sand! But once I had found out about Advocacy, I was trained and felt like I could make a bigger difference. It wasn't just about the children I sponsor, it became about helping other people starting their sponsor journey. I’ve been involved for many years and I never get tired of seeing kids sponsored! I’ve lost count! It’s very rewarding and I will be an advocate where ever I go.”
~Nancy Lunnay, Compassion Advocate, Alice Springs, NT
“My favourite part of being an advocate is volunteering at events. I love helping people to sign up to sponsor a child for the first time, knowing that in that moment that child’s life has been forever changed! Every time I see someone choosing a child to sponsor my heart leaps knowing that is one more child being pulled out of poverty.”
~ Gemma Winter, Compassion Advocate, Adelaide, SA
