UPDATE: Some places still available for workshop in Springwood- 7-9pm. Call 4780 5521 before 5pm to secure your place.
The city of Blue Mountains faces significant challenges, such as climate change and urban development, that will have a big impact on our waterways and the way we use water.
Blue Mountains City Council, together with Water NSW and the Cooperative Research Centre for Water Sensitive Cities, is running community workshops to help rethink the way we use and value water in our city. The workshops will also offer an opportunity to provide input into Council's draft Water Sensitive Blue Mountains plan.
If you live or work in the Blue Mountains, your knowledge and ideas are vital to this discussion.
The workshops will explore:
* how we might benefit from a 'water sensitive' approach to development;
* successful 'water sensitive' case studies from Australia and overseas; and
* potential local projects to implement.
Choose a workshop time and location that suits you. Lunch or dinner will be supplied. (Please advise any dietary requirements to ekennedy@bmcc.nsw.gov.au ) Bookings essential.
