Description

The Community Support Worker Case Discussion is an opportunity for volunteers from different CISVic member agencies to come together and talk about the challenges and different approaches to supporting clients. Volunteers will have the chance to discuss past interactions with clients (de-identified) and the challenges and learnings from these experiences. Attendees will be invited to share their ideas and knowledge about community support available to clients. These sessions will provide a forum for volunteers to learn from each other and to identify and discuss challenges and ideas when working with vulnerable people.

This session will be facilitated by Helen Byrne, Helen is a trained Social Worker and has worked in community information centres for since 2010, in the role of caseworker, duty worker, coordinator and volunteer.

Please note that this informal session is only for Community Support Workers at CISVic member agencies.
There are a limited number of places for each session (14), agencies are asked to encourage between 2-3 volunteers to attend.
