Community Migrant Resource Centre (CMRC) has been recognised for 20 years as a leader in the area of multicultural resettlement.
Established in September 1996, Community Migrant Resource Centre (CMRC) provides settlement services in Western and Northern Sydney Regions. The organisation operates from three offices. The Head Office is located at Parramatta with service delivery capability operating from Hornsby, Eastwood and Ku-ring-gai offices.
The CMRC is a medium sized (NFP) not for profit, established to promote the wellbeing of newly arrived migrants and refugee families in Western and Northern Sydney regions.
The CMRC continues to support many diverse migrant and refugee settlement groups, helping them to adjust to their new homeland, to become self-reliant, and to develop solid linkages with the broader community and their local ethnic communities.
Having worked with disadvantaged and marginalised multicultural communities for 20 years, the CMRC employs highly specialised bi-lingual staff to deliver programs to emerging refugee communities.
CMRC’s organisational objective is to provide high quality services, settlement information, support and advocacy to migrants, refugees and emerging communities in order to facilitate successful integration into the broader fabric of Australian society.
Community Migrant Resource Centre will be celebrating its 20th Anniversary on Wednesday, 1 February 2017 at Parkroyal Parramatta. This celebration and fundraising event includes a 3-course meal, live entertainment and special guests.
