Description

This free information session is for people with disability, their families and carers.

The Senior Practitioner, Richard Bruggemann, and Diane Holty, of the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI), Disability Policy Unit will be in Mount Gambier to provide information to people with disability, families and carers.

Diane will talk about the Disability Engagement Register as a way people with disability, thier families and carers can influence policy decisions and have their say about matters affecting them. Anyone can join this free Register by visiting http://www.dcsi.sa.gov.au/agencies/disability-sa/disability-sa-consultation. Diane will also briefly discuss the work of the Disability Policy Unit.

Richard will discuss the role of the Senior Practitioner, restrictive practices and positive behaviour supports in the context of transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
