Urban Gardeners Volunteer Course - Fully Funded

Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm (lunch will be provided)

This course will focus on Community Development and Urban Gardening skills as well as feature talks from guest industry expert presenters. The course is fully funded and will be taught by The Community Greening Coordinator at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney and Sydney TAFE Outreach.
Training will include a combination of practical and theoretical components and the development of skills in city soils, composting, urban food growing, community building and development, conflict resolution, social inclusion and social justice. Participants will get a statement of attainment in Community Engagement and Vocational Education upon completion of the five day course, as well as a hat and tshirt.

- A commitment of 50 hours per year of volunteering at a Community Greening Project is expected and required to be part of the volunteer team (existing projects can be included).
- Public transport costs to access the course can be reimbursed (with receipts).
