Community Clean-Up - School of Arts Road
Event Information
About this event
Litter Legends will be hosting a community clean-up to conclude our time voluntarily cleaning along School of Arts Road in Redland Bay. What are you waiting for? Become a Litter Legend this Sunday morning and help remove as much litter as possible from School of Arts Road! If you've ever wanted to volunteer with us then this is the time to roll up your sleeves and attend!
Litter Legends have completely cleaned School of Arts Road in Redland Bay from one end to the other. We have spent the past 16 weeks voluntarily hardcore cleaning to remove all the historic litter and illegal dumping along the roadside, nature strips, bushland and parks. This community clean-up aims to remove all the new litter that has appeared since we began. We aim to make School of Arts Road one of the cleanest roads in Redland City.
This is a volunteer and child-friendly event. Everyone is welcome to attend, however, be advised that this community clean-up is along a multi-lane and single-lane road with speed limits of 60km/h. If you aren't confident in your children being around roads or cars please don't bring them along.
Litter Legends supplies reusable bags, high-visibility vests, gloves, litter pickers and other useful equipment. If you have your own equipment please feel free to bring that along. I have a general first-aid kit for small injuries and a sharps bin if any needles are found.
