By Bayside Council

Overview

Take a stand against domestic and family violence. Learn to recognise the signs, start safe conversations, and connect people to supports.

The St George Domestic Violence Committee warmly invites you to attend our Community Bystander Forum, held as part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.

This free community event is a safe and welcoming space for residents, local organisations, and anyone who wants to learn how to support someone experiencing domestic or family violence.

What to Expect:

  • Bystander & Ally Training delivered by the Women’s and Girl’s Emergency Centre (WAGEC) – understand gender-based violence, its impacts, and how to respond safely and effectively.
  • Panel Discussion featuring local experts from Marrickville Legal Centre, NSW Police, Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service, Moving Forward, and Mudgin-Gal Aboriginal Corporation.
