About this Event

Students with cerebral palsy sometimes do not have the ability to use speech to meet all their communication requirements. This workshop investigates Complex Communication Needs (CCN) and the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to meet a student’s communication needs. It has a focus on practical strategies to support teaching and learning, as well as enhancing peer-to-peer interactions. The “Hands-on” component of this workshop enables participants to actively experience using PODD communication books. This workshop is most appropriate for school staff and therapists who support students who are currently using a communication aid.
