About this Event
The session provides information on dementia, the way we communicate and how changes in communication can occur as a result of dementia.
Dementia Australia's facilitators have specialist dementia knowledge, skills and experience. These sessions are delivered interactively, you will be encouraged to share your experiences alongside other participants giving you an opportunity to develop new support networks.
Suitable for: Family carers and family members of people living with dementia. This program is not suitable for professionals employed in the health or aged care sectors.
Morning tea will be provided, please email us if you have any dietary requirements.

What precautions are taking place due to Covid19?
Protecting participant health and well being is fundamental for Dementia Australia. The group size will be limited to maintain social distancing.
Please read and abide by the COVID-19 Precautions for attendees listed:
- Please DO NOT attend the session if you are feeling unwell in any way.
- Wash your hands before the session
- Use the hand sanitiser provided as you enter and exit the building/classroom.
- Bring a pen if you have one
- Do not share pens or paperwork
- Cough/Sneeze into your elbow and try not to touch your face
- Avoid close contact to others and sit at least 1.5m apart.
Each participants will be required to complete a Covid19 symptom checker form prior to the session.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
On-site parking, disabled parking and free street parking available.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It is ideal if you can bring your ticket. However, if you have completed your registration we will have your details and forgetting your ticket won’t be a problem.
