Communicating Research and Research Outcomes with Dr Shane Huntington

About this Event

This workshop will cover some of the key elements of effectively communicating research to a variety of audiences. Grant writing, presentations, media and other areas of communication for researchers will be discussed along with techniques for giving and receiving valuable feedback.

Afternoon tea will be provided after the presentation.

Bus transport from Parkville to Werribee will be available for attendees. Please reserve your seat here.

This session will be presented by Dr Shane Huntington. Shane has been broadcasting science on 3RRR for the last 27 years. For the past 10 years he has been working in strategy roles in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences and the Office of the Vice-Chancellor. Before that he worked as a physicist for 10 years. Shane has trained 1000s of researchers to communicate and has successfully run his own company since 1999.

This event is hosted by the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences for University of Melbourne staff and students.
