General practitioners, registrars, nurses, practice managers and practice staff are invited to attend Triage in General Practice Training.

All registrants are required to attend and register for both sessions to complete the training. The event will be held over two days for one and a half hours per session.

Session 1 - Tuesday 4 May 2021

Session 2 - Wednesday 5 May 2021 (please register for this date as well)

What you will learn:

  • Implement a triage system in general practice to mitigate risk in relation to the allocation of patient appointments that complies with RACGP practice standards
  • Implement triage skills in general practice
  • Implement triage tools and guidelines in recognising the priority of patients seeking care and patients in the waiting room
  • Discuss requirements for documentation of triage interactions, including advice received from other staff members.
