Event description
Right now and right here – the present moment – is our true home. Like all homes, it offers us a place of love, acceptance and freedom.

About this event

In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it’s hard to take time out for ourselves and our own wellbeing.

Life can often feel like we move from one battle to another. There are relationship, financial, health and family challenges. At times it can feel overwhelming. We may wonder if there is more to life than the constant go, go, go.

Social media and our culture reinforce the idea that there is some ideal about how our life should look, but we know deep down that those ideals are not real and actually not what we really want anyway.

Rather than the go, go, go of everyday life or striving to meet some future ideal of how we should be or our life should be, mindfulness and meditation remind us that we are in fact totally OK just as we are and that the present moment offers us a refuge and home.

Right now and right here – the present moment – is our true home. Like all homes, it offers us a place of love, acceptance and freedom.

By practising mindfulness and meditation, we learn to be present and to come home to ourselves.

What is Covered in this Retreat?

✅ What it feels like to be present. How to recognise it and practice it.

What does it actually mean to be present? Through practising mindfulness meditation, we come to recognise when we are present as well as getting better at recognising when we are not – when we are lost worrying about the past and the future.

✅How to make a home for ourselves in the present moment

We can create a place of love, acceptance and freedom for ourselves that is always available to us.

✅ Inner reedom

The difference between inner and outer freedom and how we can learn to rely on inner freedom.

✅ A radical approach to self-acceptance

What it means to fully embrace and love the entirety of our human experience.

Organiser MINDFULNESS WORKS AUSTRALIA

Organiser of Coming Home to Yourself Half-day Mindfulness and Meditation Retreat, Noosa

Mindfulness Works provides practical, non-religious and accessible mindfulness and meditation courses. We offer Australia's most popular mindfulness course.

Mindfulness and meditation can help to:

Reduce stress and anxiety
Improve sleep
Increase feelings of self-acceptance

“Since doing this course, I have been sleeping much better, I feel much more in control of my emotions, I have enjoyed ‘noticing’ my own state, but also it has transferred to everything around. This means I am re-enjoying many things that I had been taking for granted.” — Sandy Good
