Bev Killick is from the bold and brassy school of stand up, delivering a non-stop energetic set every time. As soon as she blast’s her way on stage, you know you’re in for a treat. Bev is likeable, real and raw. At school, Bev was always the class clown and the lunch time entertainer, doing standup comedy acts in the school quadrangle. Her ability to remember a joke, (handed down from her father) and tell it well is her calling.
Nominated in 2001 for A Green Room Award for "Most Innovative Cabaret" Bev has supported comedy greats such as Weird Al Yankovic,Wayne Brady and Brad Garrett Bev's TV credits include – Kath and Kim, Pizza, Jack Irish, It's A Date, and Four Quarters and has also co-written and starred in hit Musicals, Busting Out! and Song Contest. She works all year round as a guest comedian entertainer on P and O Cruises.
Bev opens the Comedy at Birds week as MC to Dave Thornton and Headliner, George Kapiniaris.
Dave Thornton has built a global reputation for his honest, engaging, whip-smart and damn funny comedy. He’s stormed the world's three major comedy festivals and, back home, Dave is a hot ticket across the country, filling thousands of seats with a growing army of fans.
Dave's TV credentials include appearances on Network Ten's The Project and This Week Live, ABC TV’s Spicks and Specks and Agony Uncles. He’s even tried his hand at acting, appearing on Channel Nine's House Husbands and the ABC TV’s Upper Middle Bogan. Currently, he is hosting FOX FM Breakfast with FiFi Box. Pretty much any gig where there's catering, Dave will be there.
George Kapiniaris is one of this country's best loved comedians and television stars - having had an incredible impact on Australian popular culture for over the last thirty years.
George Kapiniaris' claim to fame was his starring role in the hugely popular stage show Wogs Out of Work. He played DJ in The Flying Doctors and Memo in Acropolis Now from 1989 to 1992 (a show which he co-produced & co-created). In 2004 George was nominated for a Green Room Award for his role of Stretch in the musical Oh, What a Night. Other musical credits include The Rocky Horror Show & Return to the Forbidden Planet, and from 2012-2013 George performed the role of Goran in the National tour of the musical stage production Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
