PAGEANT CEREMONY Friday 14 October, 5 – 8.30pm
WORKSHOP: 5 – 7pm

Head and arm band making with Maddie Hodge, face/body and mask painting with Leah King-Smith, while media-art screenings and sound touch our senses of remembrance and survivance, strengthening our ethical sovereign resolve.

On screen: Community video footage from Uniikup Optical Media Collection and media art – Celebrating 30 years of creActivity

ASSEMBLE FOR WALK AND LIGHT REFRESHMENTS.
WALK: 7 – 8.30pm
cruise by the River on the board-walk, wonder across Victoria Bridge, dance over Brisbane Square, tread triumphantly down George Street with media art projections, to a finale at the Gardens. Care for country care for kin

(You choose: return to South Brisbane via Good Will Bridge or George St.)

WHAT YOU NEED: comfortable shoes, water, snacks

WEATHER PLAN: As this is an outdoor event we will reschedule on the day if rain is expected.

TRANSPORT: South Brisbane busway & train
TOILETS: At State Library before leaving and QUT B block at end
ACCESSIBILITY: Lifts will be used to use the toilets before leaving the State Library area. We will travel via the board walk (across wooden planks), up the spiral path to cross the river on Victoria Bridge.
