Event description
Colouring Dreams is a personal development experience designed to build emotional intelligence, motivate and inspire children

About this Event

The most we can ask for as parents is for our children to be healthy and happy. We know what to do to ensure they are as healthy as possible, but is it enough to assume they’ll be happy kids and hope for the best, or is there more we could be doing to actively help their happiness along as well?

Colouring Dreams is a personal development experience in a series of 8 workshops designed to motivate, inspire and build confidence in children from 4 to 8 years old.

Benefits

• Connecting children with their hopes and dreams

• Lower stress/anxiety levels

• Builds the confidence needed to aid emotional healing and strength

• Encourages children to recognise and engage with their emotions

• Keep children motivated

• Fosters the development of identity

• Promotes creative self-expression

Emotional Intelligence

Development of Emotional Intelligence through recognition and expression of emotions.

Children will be educated about feelings—their own and others. It involves being able to notice, understand and act on emotions in an effective way.

The program’s methodology allows the participants to increase their emotional vocabulary.

Physical development

Use the body as a physical tool to channel learning, connect with their dreams and discover their talents

Through Art Therapy, Music, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques participants envisage and draw their dreams in full colour on a pair of white pyjamas. The House to Grow pyjamas are used as a metaphorical anchor, connecting the children permanently with an inspiring and colourful future and encouraging them to keep on dreaming.

Social development

Promote inclusion and integration by mixing children from different backgrounds in a safe space, where they can socialise in a fun and nurturing environment.

Participants learn how to manage relationships and what kind of behaviour to get a positive response from other while developing empathy skills.
