Polish born, Melbourne-based; Katarzyna is a pianist, composer, arranger, bandleader and producer. Influenced by classical, jazz, film music and contemporary sensibilities, Kat’s music explores light and dark landscapes that create an emotional, ornate listening experience. Eager to explore interplay, space and improvisation through an intimate line up, Kat has formed a piano, alto saxophone and bass trio. The set will feature special new arrangements of various 2020 releases including pieces from her EP From a Distance, new compositions and covers.

Pianist Joel Trigg (The Rookies, Claps) presents original compositions dedicated to best friends, terrible sharehouses, and growing up in his hometown of Melbourne. Grounded in the sound and philosophy of jazz, and given voice in the democratic piano trio tradition of Bill Evans and Keith Jarrett, Joel's music is personal, playful, and delivered with a bard's care for the responsibilities of the storyteller. This performance will feature his trio with the skilled and loving Angus Radley and Lewis Pierre on bass and drums.
