Event description

Description

No one person or organisation is ever able to tell the whole story. It’s only through working together - sharing skills, ideas, perspectives, time, resources - that we can build better pictures of our pasts, and how they influence our futures.

The workshop will bring together professionals and enthusiasts from diverse fields to explore and record the ways in which collaboration has created value in history and research.

Anyone who is studying, interested in or working in the field of history is welcome to come along. If you have a tale of how sharing has helped you achieve more in your historical pursuits, or if you want to hear about how working together across institutions and disciplines has helped others to get more out of their research, then come along and be part of it.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Local, national, and global collaboration
  • Informal and spontaneous connections
  • Navigating funding arrangements and formal partnerships
  • Identifying opportunities for further collaboration
