Fundraiser - all proceeds to Fremantle’s Street Doctors

Be entertained with a superb afternoon of good music and song from folk; jazz and blues to contemporary pop. The venue will be in the historic and beautiful space of St John’s Church in central Fremantle and all proceeds will go to support Fremantle’s Street Doctors.

Songs chosen will include composers Leonard Cohen; Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac; Crosby Stills and Nash; Gordon Lightfoot; Peter. Paul and Mary; Bruce Springsteen etc.

NICK MELIDONIS has been in the Perth music scene for many years. He founded the successful folk group, The West Coast Trio and pop group, Gemini that had a hit ‘Sunshine River’ as well as performing for ABC TV and Ch 7 and 9. Nick was also part of group ‘i NAK’ that have recently conducted several successful fundraisers in the last few years.

Supporting Nick:

KEITH McDONALD has been a popular solo pro musician for many years in Perth and London delivering his accomplished style to many popular venues and TV performances. He adds his distinctive guitar style and vocals to this concert.

JOHN HUNTER is a very talented bass player and has backed many of the leading jazz groups and visiting jazz acts in Perth for many years. His driving bass provides a solid anchor to many of Nick’s songs in this concert. Both Keith and John have played together in ‘i NAK’s’ fund raisers.

We hope to add other talented musicians and performers to our fund-raisers for this and other concerts. We hope to have the talents of guitar/vocals by Garry Baverstock also for this concert.
